I got a used Utec and noticed that i might have not got everything... also noticed that the Evo and Wrx directions are near identical. This ABC thing has me confused, it does not say it is sposed to come with one, then later on in the manual is says use the supplied ABC valve. ??? Is this for a Evo or wrx? Can you go without it (cant use boost controlers for SCCA) ?

 

Both the Evo and WRX Utec should come with it.. however its not needed unless you intend to raise your boost.. I ran for about a year without the ABC installed.

 

Will running the stage 1 or 2 maps be a incorrect tune without running the extra boost? and should a change the parameters to ECU accoss the board on those maps? i was told by Mark @ Turbo XS that i sholud, called today and was told i dont need to, that it just not work.

 

Actually, you should consistently hit about 19psi if you alter your boost map a little.. the ABC is why the maps are using 75% duty instead of 100%, just alter your maps slightly and you'll hit a 20psi spike tapering to about 19psi without too much trouble.

And the stock maps are a little lean at 22psi peak, they should work well with 19-20psi of boost..
