home-made "racing chip"
Can any of you brilliant Evo owners out there give me access to the correlation between the voltage comming from the coolant temp. sensor and the temp of the coolant?
-I would suppose this would require one to have a logger to correlate voltage to temp.
Reason I ask is b/c:
Buschur Racing has made a "chip" (likely just a resistor or some other simple mechanism) that keeps the engine temp signal within the 173-190 degree mark.
If I can emulate this "chip" by means of some resistor or the like just to give the voltage an upper bound which corresponds to... say... 180 degrees, my car would stay in the sweet spot and not add fuel b/c of heat.
And even furthur, anyone know what simple electronic element(s) I would need in order to keep the upper limit of voltage below the corresponding 190 degree mark?
>>Reason those questions are relevant: My car has a dynoflash, which I know is around 11.4 AFR. W/ my WI I know that I need to go a little leaner to make more power. This is why I want to negate the coolant temp enriching that is induced by the ecu when the car reads over 190ish.<<
EDIT: for those of you tempted to give me the "just go buy a Bushcur unit", I've tried, they will not sell me one b/c I have a dynoflash... they only sell these to buschur flash customers.

[QUOTE=matt55]
talked to David Buschur, he said that his policy for now is to only sell to those who have a bushcur flash, and he also said he made a few exceptions for those who bought many parts from him. You must be one of them. I, sadly, am not.
Perhaps you can do me the most good of all, what is it? just a resistor? I can understand if you don't want to dismantle his 'secret chip' on the internet, but it is a great idea, and I know for a fact that more than just Buschur flash owners can benefit from it.
So anyone else have any clue here?
