flash and lg injectors..

I just ordered a Safc II and I also have a dynoflash. I was wondering if I still need to adjust for the larger injectors...660.. or does the flash already compensate(18%) for them?

Thanks.

Flash compensate for injectors? The flash only compensates for the injectors if you got the flash custom made for injectors. If you have a pre-injector flash, then you need a re-flash after adding injectors, so that all of your idle and low-throttle fuel settings are proper. You can remove a lot of fuel with the S-AFC to try and do this, but it's much better just to get reflashed, then fine-tune on top of that with the S-AFC.

If you aren't going to get a re-flash, then you need to go read the S-AFC tuning write-up on Evotuners.net, so you know how to get your low- and hi-throttle set to compensate for the additional fuel.

I did get a flash that covered my cams, injectors, fuel pump, and other mods. (It was through the mail...not sure if that matters though) So, from what you are saying, I should treat the ecu as if it were "stock" b/c the flash already accomidates for the larger injectors and other mods. I will read through that article tonight.

Thanks!!

Oh, ok, if you already got a flash designed to work for all that stuff, then yeah, you're in good shape. Since it's a mail-in, it will not yet be optimum, so the S-AFC will allow you to fine-tune it into something almost as good as a custom flash, which is good.

Thanks. I appreciate all of your info. I am looking forward to applying 'book' knowledge to real world application in regards to tuning... I am hoping to squeeze out some good pwr/tq numbers...
