So do you have to spice it in or is it plug and play? I do not see any other plugs other than the Ecu to harness ones.

Good price. I bought one yesterday.

As I understand it, you still have to splice into the harness, but this will still make installation a snap since you can splice the harness outside the car. Also, having the harness will make for easy removal if I ever decide to take the SAFC2 out.

i just ordered one of them and it will be here in 2 days, they shipped it less then a hour after i ordered it from there site which it is cheaper. you can get the one that just plugs in for about $130 from the company that makes them, they are a vendor on here. I was very pleased with my purchase from fasterthenthem.com They definatly are faster then them. Now I need to find a ECU pin out and wiring diagram that is right. Does anyone have a link to it?

Got mine today too! Looking forward to getting my AFC installed finally.

Now I just have to wait a few days on the T16-003 interface for my palm logger ...and I will be ready to go.

Question, I want to get a harnes like this only if I would need to get the signals from the computer. Meaning if I want the RPM reading I splice into the harnes and leave the stock one in one peace without cutting. (kind of an extension that I can work on instead of stock wires) Can I do this or do I need the SAFC as well for this harnes to work.

you could certainly use this harness (or any other straight-thru harness) for that purpose.

Just strip back the wire you want to monitor but do not cut it ...then solder onto it...then cover your connection with heat shrink or electrical tape. Should work just fine.

A dumb question perhaps, but is it acceptable to use wire taps to make the connections? This is how I connected my Apexi TT to the ECU and its never been a problem. I guess the fact that I dont have a soldering iron is part of the reason

There will be some connections that will require you cutting the wire in your new harness and connecting different wires to each side.
Like the signal from the MAF. The output of the MAF goes to the AFC ....then the AFC sends the modified signal to the ECU.

That connection will not work with wire taps ....unless you are using a differnt style than what I am thinking about.

Trust me ...it will be worth your time to solder the connections. You will never have to question your connections if you run into problems in the future. Especially since you can take your time and do it at the kitchen table thanks to your harness!! No crawling under the dash or working in tight spaces.

If you don't feel comfortable soldering I would be willing to do it for you for free. I am also in Columbus. You would just have to give me a few days until I get time to do my own and figure out what wire goes where. I am an experienced solderer, so it would only take 15 minutes probably.
