question about rpm converter

Alrite, finally got my LM-1 and rpm converter shipped to me.

I went ahead and ordered that little inductive clamp because I don not want to splice any wires. Just clamp it onto spark plug wire and hooke it up to converter....am i right ?

I was also reading the manual for it and it said in most cases the grnd connection of the rpm converter is required only if the other Aux Inputs(2-5) are used.

Is this all as easy as I am seeing it ?

I have the same setup. Just clamp the inductive clamp on the number 1 spark plug wire and connect the other end to the slot in the rpm converter. I don't think you need to use the ground wire since the lm-1 unit is already grounded through the cigarette lighter.
