Evo 9 motor work with Evo 8 ECU?
Evo 9 motor work with Evo 8 ECU?
Just curious if an Evo 8 ECU will work with an Evo 9 motor? (concerning MIVEC, etc). I had the motor go out on my 05 Evo, and I may have to replace the parts myself (non-warranty) and I've been looking at an Evo 9 motor/turbo. ..Just curious if I would need the Evo 9 ECU as well.
no it wont .
with 03 ecu's only have 2 maps
with the 04-05 they have 2-3 maps.
06 has 6 maps
if your looking for a ecu upgrade for the evo 9 there is only one out at this time
