Thumbs up A/F Numbers with Al's Mail in Flash

Well, i borrowed my friends Zeitronix wideband today. first, let me say that this device rocks. i am really tempted to get one from TTP soon.

anyways, below are 3rd and 4th gear pulls. Both graphs are at 100% TPS and from 2000 rpm

i am boosting a little late, so i gotta check my wastegate to see if it is broken again.
Boost is a little lower than i wanted, and i am shocked to see it tapers down that much. it never showed that on the mechanical gauge, even when watched closely.
The A/F ratios seem to be perfect from low to midrange, but i think its a little too unhealthy uptop. However, that was to be expected since i have added a FMIC without an updated mail in flash from dynoflash.
The ignition timing numbers also seem to be great, about 8 advance then jumps up quickly to 20.

Below are graphs from a 1 to 4th gear pull. i had turned up the boost controller slightly.

I am gonna do a little more logging tomorrow with slightly higher boost. comment and suggestions are appreciated!

That's not a lot of taper. That's exactly what I would expect. Most people run around saying "I hold XX boost to redline," but that's based off their boost gauge, not a MAP sensor log. When Al first custom tuned me, the boost on my log looked EXACTLY like that. Peaked at 22psi and was down to 19 by 7k, but it didn't go below 18 by 8k.

Actually, the more efficient airflow you have, the more it will taper, because the turbo can't keep up with the airflow at higher rpms.

Damnit Faisal, email me the .ZDL files and I can host them.

Your crappy graphs do not represent the zeitronix software.

I suspect you exported the data into another program and graphed it out. With the zeitronix software it should look something like this;

This is an example of the Zeitronix Graphing Software, not Faisal's graphs.

If you feel the a/f is too lean after your recent fmic upgrade you should send back the ecu fior an adjustment

Thanks

Too much ignition timing under 6000.

scott, how do you hook up the knock sensor wire to read 0-5V
i hooked up the white wire (pin #78) to the user input on the zeitronix, but only say max of 0.1V. should i hook it up to a different wire?

No, voltage is just that low. Many buy the Vishnu knock buffer at $100 and it amplifies this signal so it can be more easily read. Remember it is knock sensor noise and only the ECU knows true knock and timing retard.

i see. well i guess i am gonna have to wait for the evoscan software, which will be released by the end of this week!
now i leaned it out a bit in the 6k-7k rpm, and then i am gonna datalogg.
i also lowered the timing to 9's uptil 6k.

What are you using to log timing? Pocket Logger?
