I think they must have decided that jumping into the Mazda market was a good idea since they have started rolling out the parts for those cars instead of working on the upkeep of the Evo product.

You should voice of a bit of this to a few of the Mazda forums and some of their other product markets to get some sort of action/reaction out of them.

No updates.. I'd suggest enjoying the UTEC for what it is if you have one, or if your in the market for engine management, to look at other products.

I will never complain about its current capabilities. However lack of support means its a dead product.

Yeah I have one. Have had it for about 2 years. There is a lot of local support for it, so I don't have to deal with TXS directly (fortunately)!!

It sucks that you guys are having this issue cause the UTEC is awesome!! For us Scoobie guys OpenSource has blown up. So having a ECU stage 2 reflash and the UTEC ProTuned is the best (for the price).

Anyway, I hope they will pull their heads out of their asses!!

I do run a UTEC along side of a reflash, and aftermarket blowthrough MAF. I'm making serious horsepower with this setup so I'm happy with it. However I do also have an ECU+ and it has much better features for the money, especially since OLF isn't needed anymore with reflashing.

People who use UTEC's love 'em.. your not going to get something for nearly nothing. But you can find some good deals out there on UTECs for people unwilling to spend the time to learn how to use it.

I suggest, if you have one and like it keep it.
If you dont dont bother, Open ECU is better.

I just called TurboXS regarding any changes to the EVO UTEC, and they said, NONE will come out because they will discontinue the product.

Now what?
Those like me who want the ability to change maps with a piggy back, for different types of fuel and drag/road racing applications. Anything out in the market?

I want an update for a few things too, but it is still a great unit. Now with ECU flash and a UTEC combo it is even better. No need for an upadate other than speed density maybe.

I had a feeling they had "lost interest" in the product now that OpenECU is available. However there are many occasions where this particular piggyback setup can compliment an ECU reflash.

I can only encourage them to release the SOURCE CODE to the Evo UTEC so development can continue on the platform even if its discontinued.

FWIW, the UTEC doesn't really need much improvement, it already does what is needed to compliment reflash tuning, and works really well even without a reflash. I doubt I would remove my current blowthrough MAF setup just to use speed density and thats the only feature its really missing.

The only "glitch" that I didn't like about the UTEC is that the launch control RPM, and flat shift RPM are the same setting..

They already told me on the phone that they were going to release the source code, but like everything else which was promised it hasn't happened.
