Adding O2 housing to Stage 2?????

I'm waiting to install my Cobb TBE and Megan O2 housing and i'm wondering if the O2 housing is going to have a negative impact the the stage 2 flash. Would i just screws thing up or add more power? Anyone have an 02 housing with the stage 2?

thanks
Jason

I did contemplate doing the O2 when the tbe went on....I asked that same question....best answer given...more than likely it would be okay....we'll just have to see.

Currently I have ICpipes and the Okada Projects Plasma Direct replacement coils on running stage 2....the only thing we saw happen was the first couple runs on the dyno the boost peaked at like 23.5....but then by pull three the ecu re-adjusted and it leveled around 21.5.....

So I would bet the O2 will not have a negative affect...but like the crap on my car...you won't get as much out of it till the custom tune factor is applied

The one thing that has helped me be more patient is knowing that the COBB map is almost giving me the same power as my friend's IX with a custom tune.....I am only down 10whp and 5wtq compared.....That is easily giving me the patience.

Now I do have 2 other mods on my car that will benefit from the custom tune....but as COBB stated they already built those maps at about 90% of what is safe....so the other 10% can wait till after the holidays for me

I installed the O2 housing yesterday. I never want to install an O2 housing ever again, 2 bolts snapped and had to be drilled out. Everything is cool now, no problems with the AP what so ever.

yeah i've heard its a pain.

any noticeable difference in spool up or anything?

Once we can all get custom tuned I bet the o2 will yield more power.

which o2 did you go with by the way?

I think Im right on this...if not...Im gonna sound stupid again

I pretty sure the o2 housing connects from the turbo and hooks up to the downpipe.

IT sure would seem weird that that would be someones only mod on their evo. I think that most individuals change it out when changing out the whole exhaust or upgrading the turbo.

The O2 housing connects from the turbo to the downpipe. Reason for upgrading to an aftermarket O2 housing is for better spool which equals higher hp/tq. I am pretty sure the guy that you bought the car from had an exhuast on there but removed it to sell the car. The reason why he left the O2 housing is because its a pain in the ballz to remove.

That would make sense...that he just reverted back to stock for the exhaust and left o2 on there.

I was thinking earlier why go thru the hastle of only upgrading the o2 w/o the exhaust.....obviously work is frying my brain
