Hallman MBC, NOOB needs help
Hallman MBC, NOOB needs help
i have a Hallman MBC. car was tuned on a dyno like a year ago at 23psi. if i suddenly feel the urge to "turn it up a notch", meaning raise the boost myself, at home... what's the safest and/or the most I can do, without getting a new tune, and without switching to a higher octane gas (i only use 93).
meaning, can i just raise the MBC to like 25-26 psi, if im going to a track for the day, and then turn it back down to my usual 23psi, when i come home ??

No. U will be risking ur motor by doing this.
Keep it at whatever boost u were tuned for.
Unless u run race gas than u can turn it up a little but ur better off getting retuned for the race gas because u will see a lot more power.

odds are you could turn it up 2psi and be ok but if you start getting some knock you could actully end up will less power due to the ecu pulling timing. the only way to tell is to turn it up and log and see if your getting any knock. but if your going to the track i would maybe just put a few gallons of race gas in your tank and turn your boost up 2-3 psi at most and you should be fine.
