I own an evo8 and had battery/alternator issues so I bought and installed a new one of each. I was jump starting my new battery (ended up failing after only 2 weeks) and had it run for a while. I then turned my car off then it wouldn't start again. so I jumped it once more then decided to take it for a small drive figuring the alternator would better charge the battery when the cars being driving versus standing at an idle. Anyhow, I turn the headlights on and the car dies. What I can't figure out is why that is because I just got my alternator and battery checked and while the battery was tested as dead, the alternator tested as fine (14 amps). any thoughts on why that may be? Im hoping that the battery was not so dead that it somehow fried the alternator and I have to replace it, because those are a pain to replace.
