MAF Translator Questions

First off, I have done hours of searching and the threads I found are so old and it seems like there's not much support for this setup. I have read through many threads somewhat related to these, but still can't find a clear and concise answer. When I bought my car it came with (amongst several other uninstalled items) a MAF Translator and a 3" GM MAF meter. I understand that this was a common thing for previous 4g63 setups for spoolup and venting the bov to atmosphere but...

Can someone please explain to me the advantage of installing this on my Evo ix?

What should I expect to gain?

What are the common issues to troubleshoot when tuning the MAF Translator?

There are no advantages at this point. It was cool on Grand Nationals (original market) then DSMs later. It puts the tune all over the place dependent on weather, if the MAF gets wet the tune goes out the window, if it gets cold it richens up, if its hot it leans out.

Buy a 4 bar MAP sensor, do the SD conversion, profit
