Injector install and tuning help.

On my 1g I could simply enter the flow rate of my injectors and deadtime which was easily obtainable information. On the Evo, apparently it's not that simple. It's some sort of table which has units that are unknown to me (time, voltage?????). Also the scaling number apparently does not match the flowrate of the injectors.

I have low impedance FIC 850's and the supermerge scaling thread gives me two starting points for my injectors which are significantly different. I have not installed my LC-1 yet so I don't have wideband logging capability at this time and I probably won't for a little while because I want to put a bung in an aftermarket dp not the stock one which is still on the car.

All I want to do is install the injectors and turn the boost pressure up a little bit. Only mods on my car are a walbro and GM BCS. I have an Openport 2.0.

Can somebody point me in the right direction? Once I change the injector scaling, should I just keep an eye on the fuel trims and adjust accordingly? Do I need wideband for putting injectors on a stock car? Which table should I start with?

Below are copy and pastes of the injector latencies in the big supermerged thread that I'm considering.

A wideband for logging would help alot but yes, you can fine tweak based on fuel trims.

you dont need a wideband to scale the fuel trims, but you need one for doing actual tuning and turning the boost up.. unless you want to trust the narrowband o2 voltages.. which i wouldn't risk.

mid fuel trim to scale the injectors and low trim for latency voltages.. nothings different here its the same as any other car..

as far as fuel trims go, it will vary per car what the vehicle wants.. as far as latency voltages tho.. most of those listed on forum are settings from the manufacturer which definitely should be used for a base point. without proper voltages/deadtime the injector will not operate properly. (open and close).

Just some advice... You should just wait till you get your wideband installed. If you install the injectors and scale them who knows what you AFRs will be. Not worth the risk of blowing something IMO.
