Low-speed tuning and jerkyness
Evo IX tuned at a Dyno-Day tune so it was only ~30-45 minutes of tuning on their part but I'm wondering if this can be tuned out:
Low speed sucks. Plain and simple, not getting around it. I get that AWD are jerky on-off throttle at low speed, but mine is the exception. If I'm sitting still and touch the pedal the lowest I can get the RPM's to is 1800ish, if I just tap it quickly i can get it to 1200ish. Is this part of the tune that the car will always be a pain to drive in parking garages and parking lots?
This seems like something that can be tuned out, I know it was easier to drive before this but I can't remember the difference because it's been almost 6 months.
I can report back later with the lowest i can hold the rpm's at in idle, i'm guessing it will be around 2200-2300.
let me know if there's something critical that i'm missing on this, or if i should make the trip to a dedicated appointment with my tuner to get this fixed

^Aaron @ English Racing, and they are by Vancouver WA.
There isn't anyone near Everett to get a good tune at. Either take a day to drive to ER or wait till they come up North for a dyno day (usually Kent).

engine mods? my car was super smooth, then when i dropped in cams it became much more twitchy and sensitive to pedal input.
if everything is stock or looks alright, check for boost leaks, this can affect driveability. otherwise take it to ER and have them tune that bish up and im sure it will be good to go.
also, what type of clutch/flywheel? flywheel weight will effect rpms as well

stock cams, but i'm not sure how ER tunes mivec so i guess that could have something to do with it
stock engine otherwise, just bolt-ons. 3" turbo-back resonated test pipe, perrin intake kit, licp, mbc.
i'd go down to ER to tune it, but i'm looking at a fuel pump before doing so and probably an EBC so that i don't have to mess with boost settings at all between winter and summer and i don't need the adjustability as the car doesnt see track/drag time. they're also a three-hour drive
car hits full boost (tuned at ~22), i took my boost gauge out a month ago so i couldn't tell you exactly what it is now but it wasn't leaking before and it drives the exact same since taking it out

Alex, it's probably not your tune if Aaron tuned it. I'm sure he can fine tune it, but you'd have to drive down there and pay $160 for him to do it on the dyno. Still might not change the problem either.
My old bov (Greddy S) made my 8 idle funny and buck a bit at low speeds (freeway traffic, etc). I put a GFB Respons bov on and now it idles perfectly and rarely every bucks at low speeds. If you wanna try my bov on your IX to rule that out let me know.
