Need Guru help: Changing restrictor size with a MAF setup, will this need retune?
I run my race car in a class that requires a turbo inlet restrictor. I'm switching from a 52mm restrictor to the newly required 46mm restrictor. The vehicle is still using a standard MAF setup, tuned on the safe side with the stock ECU running on E85.
What I am wondering, does the MAF still control the fueling as far as keeping the A/F ratio proper, or did the tune change it so that it runs on it's set fuel map regardless of the amount of air taken in?
I'm limited on time before a event, so I am trying to figure out if I need to take emergency measures.
Thanks!
