stock EVO re-mapping

ive got a stock evo and i fried my oem pcm so i bought another one from this forum but its been tuned and im a little scared to run my car on it for too long. i found a guy that is willing to use his tactrix(?) cable and put the ecu back to stock for me. im a little scared about letting someone (from evo facebook PAGE) do something that could fry everything in my car. . . are there any evo SHOPS in the sacramento area that you guys can recommend? id rather pay someone whos knowledgeable about this, rater than buying the tactrix cable and and messing **** up.

Personally I think tuning is fairly easy. If the tune works properly on a car with similar or no mods, then there probably isn't any problem running it and you should stick with the tune, because it will probably net you better fuel economy as well as more power.

If you feel like tuning back to stock you just the cable, ecuflash and a stock rom. Then you just write the rom back onto the ecu and you are back to normal. Its a really simple task

ive thought of that too (keeping the tuned map) but it boosts 24lbs and i cannot hit the accelerator all the way or the car cuts off (idk if its a fuel cut off, or a boost cut off) and it runs extremly rich and the idle is extremely high (@1500rpm) my car is stock besides intercooler+pipings and a turbo back exhaust sys.

but i do thank you fir the response, as no shops has pm'd me or responded after i told them i wanted a stock map. i will invest in the tactrix(?) cable thank you.

I would be willing to help you get the tune back to OEM. I have tuned more than a handful of Evos from this site and would have no problem with sending you what you need to get it back to what you need.
