High knock count in logs

Hello all,

I finally have everything setup to log my car correctly (I believe). I ran a log on my way into work this morning and noticed I was getting quite a bit of knock up to 13 counts at one point. Could be phantom knock but I don't know enough to say. Also it looks as though I am spiking to 27-28psi and tapering off to 16psi which bothers me a bit. It is an Evo 9 with a Buschur TBE, high flow cat, LC2 wideband, Walbro 255lph, and OMNI 4 Bar MAP. The MAP sensor was setup as directed on Mr. Freds post. Can anyone take a look at my log and point me in the right direction?

1) Why does it take you 2 seconds to press the pedal to 100%.
2) You're running low air to fuel ratios. Could be rich knock.
3) You hit 13 after you let off and the throttle was at 40%. Could be something rattling.
4) The tapper is normal for a stock turbo/wastegate.

Thanks for the reply. It takes me 2 seconds to go WOT because I have hit a fuel cut condition many times in the past when I press the pedal to the floor. Always hits around 4500 rpm in 3rd or 4th gear. So I apply throttle gradually these days in fear of hurting my engine. I have noticed my downpipe or something rattles against something a bit when I am at a very low RPM and high load. I should mention this car is untuned. I have been trying to reach Tom at TSCompTuned for a remote tune.

Fix your mechanical problems first. Tom wont touch it until you do. Unless you have him fix it for you that is.

That down pipe rattling on something could easily be causing false knock.

Yea I agree that it could be causing false knock. It is really difficult to determine where its rattling though. The only thing that the pipe gets close to is the oil pan but by shaking the hell out of it i cannot get it to touch anything.

So installing new suspension fixed all my rattling and clanking noises. I will run some logs to see if it cleared up the knock.
