Dataloggin on Mobile?

Is it possible to have any datalogging done on Android devices? I don't want to mess with my flash I just want to get some logs to see how the car is running.

I am planning to ordering the tactrix open port but I have a big/heavy/expensive workstation laptop that i'd rather not have in the car at WOT

Without a laptop? How would you control when the logging starts/stops?

You set up triggers. You would have to look into how to do it on the CT9A as it's been awhile for me. It's super easy on the CZ4A but that is CAN based.

Or just do what I do and let it log all the time, because why not? Bits are cheap and you can fit in my case years worth of logs on an 8gig microsd card

@Biggiesacks is there a write up on how to do that? I have been looking through documentation but don't see it anywhere. Just got my OpenPort yesterday

I think this is the original thread

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-computer.html

but basically if you don't specify a trigger it just logs as soon as you turn the car on and stops when you turn the car off. It does suck up some power all the time though so if you leave it plugged in all the time it could drain your battery if you let your car sit a bunch. What I did to deal with this is just installed a simple toggle switch on the +12v line to the OBD plug. I can just shut it off if I know I wont be driving for a bit. As a little side benefit the flashing LED's look like anti-theft.

Thank you! I'll review and try to get it running.

good luck . I recall having to go onto other mitsu platform forums to figure out some stuff like logging 2 byte values. If you get stuck just ask and I will try and help.

I vote we send a guy to NZ and find Hamish...then you know, hold him hostage or whatever until he releases Evodroid APK? I got at least tree fiddy to toss in. Solid plan or what? (I do in fact own a gen1 Evodroid[slow AF tablet that won't hold charge] and have tried pulling APK from it but lost my serial # and couldn't get it to fire up)

lol. i found some info on Evodroid but seems like its dead. I guess there's just not enough buzz anymore for Evo tuning development.
