Timing at idle bouncing between 2-8 degrees BTDC
Timing at idle bouncing between 2-8 degrees BTDC.
I have a Blue Tooth OBD2 plug in that sends info to a phone app. One meter is timing advance.
My memory is that it used to hang at 5 degrees at idle 800 rpm.
Seems to act normal at highway speeds 20 - 35 degrees BTDC varies with RPM / load as it should.
Changes that might effect this are Exedy LW flywheel, 65mm TB, HFC, 3" exhaust / down pipe. I do feel a slight miss at idle but no change in RPM.
I was wondering if anyone has seen this before?
I will data log with evoscan to see if I am getting some sort of knock signal.
I am concerned that a crank or cam sensor is failing and giving garbage info to the ECU. But there are no codes being thrown.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
