With your mph , your Evo has low 11 sec. capability.

Fast times man !!!

you got sooooo much more top end with that setup...i trapped the same on a small .63 backside 3037 with a 93 octane pump flash with a full weight street evo....just fyi...

evoego Dec 11, 2004 07:24 PM

damn low trap for the 1/8 with that trap for the 1/4. 11.89 at 118 yielded a 7.4 at 94 here.

cant get a good hook up''''and still learning to drive the car,,,i know its my driving....i am still the weakest link iin the setup...but i dont know what to do about the 8th mile.. im running the gears all the way to 7500 using launch cont and flat shifting...i know its something im doing wrong......but havent figured it out yet.....

hmm..honestly I feel redline is not neccessarily the best answer here. Possibly try the shift points at 6900 to 7100 as I have had best luck with right around 7k shifting. yep the driver usually is the weakest link. The launch control building about 10psi or so? feather the gas at around 4800 to 5000 and then release te clutch smoothly.

i will try that next time out for practice...thanks for the suggestion......

Great runs Rick! It would have been nice to see the two fastest cars (Rick's EVO and MZM's WRX) of the night meet in the finals.

The funning thing is that I was watching you stage on the final run and you red-lighted almost immediately after you staged. I figured the starter would notice and reset, but he didn't.

Great night of fun!

BTW You should definitely try shifting a little earlier.. I shift at 6800 which brings me back into my peak torque range when I shift..

justrick Dec 12, 2004 11:47 AM

hey robert
yea it was fun, it should have gone alot faster.....i need to experiment and find good shift point, or ill just take to the dyno and find peak torque and use that, i think on the first run i was shifting just short of 7k like jack suggested...but dont remember

TampaTurbo Dec 13, 2004 06:16 AM

Good job Rick. I hope to be there soon. =)

MalibuJack Dec 13, 2004 09:33 AM
