Engine Seems To Stay Rev'd During Shifts???
 
Hey Guys I Hope Someone Can Help Me Out With This. I Have An 05 Evoviii W/ An Injen Intake W/upper Inter Pipe And A Full Hks Exhaust With Cat Delete And Turbo Xs Downpipe. At One Time I Had A Turboxs Utec Install With Just A Txs Stock Map On It And A Greddy Electronic Boost Gauge. Now All I Have On Is Intake And Exhaust System Other Two I Returned To Stock For Now W/ Stock Ecu And Mapping. It Seems Like Anytime I Really Get On It And Shift Pretty Mildly From One Gear To Another The Engines Stays Rev'd Instead Of Dropping Off Like I Figured It Should. Now It Doesnt Rev Any Higher(like Stuck) It Just Seems To Not Really Drop Off. Obviously When Shifting Aggressively I Cant Notice Cause There Is Not Time To Notice. Now I Want To Be Honest I Really Dont Know A Damn Thing About Jap Cars Or Turbo Cars For That Matter Yet But Learning. Was Wondering If My Car Could Be Running So Rich That Its Doing That? I Know These Run Rich From Factory But Didnt Know If Installing The Intake And Exhaust Sys. Made It Run Even More Rich Thus Causing This??? Help!!! Thx.

No matter how rich you're running it's not going to make a difference in the amount of revolutions your motor sees between shifts.

Heavy flywheel = lots of intertia = 'hanging' tach between shifts.

My 2.5rs hung for what seemed like ever, my WRX was slightly better, and my STi is much better in comparison.

It has nothing to do with your AFR.
