Hey I was just wondering if this log is too lean. I get up to about 18 lbs of boost in this log but I'm supposed to be running up to 23 just left it at around 18 lately because it increases on cold days. this is a 2nd gear pull with a gt35r by the way. it seems like its kind of lean in the lower boost range. but I wanted to see what ya'll think. Please take a look. also. if I were to run 23 lbs of boost I was thinking it would definetly be too lean. But please tell me what ya'll think

Johnboy1065 Nov 26, 2007 08:37 PM

fireman you seeing something there?

yeah I mean I'm just trying to figure out if its going a little too lean. I was always under the impression that 12.5 afr under WOT is a little on the verge of being too lean

That log is pretty worthless. You didnt even hit 18 lbs of boost til after 7000RPM. Do a log in 3rd gear from 2500 to whatever you run. I go to 7500 myself.

I mean load is load isnt it??? it either has enough fuel or it doesnt??? I am hitting full boost on what I'm running. I only have the MBC turned up to 18 lbs. But I know it would reach it quicker in a higher gear of course. But if thought I'd have to have safe Air fuel ratios in all gears???? But I have been wrong before lol

If ya'll think it would be better for me to go out and do a 3rd or 4th gear pull then I'll do that. I'm kind of new to this but I have seen a few 2nd gear pulls posted on here before.

you were hittin 10's at WOT. you only went to 12.5 when you started to let off. I'm no expert but I think it looks fine.

Okay thats cool I'll do a log and post it later on today{thumbup}

You need to log in at least 3rd gear. This is for many reasons ...

1) More data from the longer pull
2) Less relative delay in the AFR reading
3) AFRs get richer in higher gears
4) Knock is more likely in higher gears due to increased physical load

Ok cool, thanks for the help. I'll try and get another log with a pull in 3rd up later
