What is a "knock"? Is it something you feel or hear? Or is it like a power drop on a dyno chart? Thanks

you'll see it using evoscan..

Knock = detonation = Car not running smooth...

The more aggresive, with no knock will make the most power.

When the car knocks it pulls timing, which will take away from power.

Easiest way to explain it, its a bit more complex than that.

that is not the knock he is asking about. Spun bearing yes. but Knock as in detination//pre ignition is what I think he is talking about. Those videos might confuse him. If your logging any knock counts it doesnt mean the car will sound like those videos (because the videos are basically blown motors) Most of the time you dont even know when your getting knock unless it is really bad or being logged

That is rod knock, which is when you spin a bearing or stretch a rod bolt.
