TurnOver, No Start

ive had my PFC for a bit with no problems. i just got back from deployment and my friend was watching the car for me. He tried to drive on day and it was sputtering badly. i returned home and found 2 Vac hoses off. Fixed that, and tried to start the car. No Joy, it just turns over. Checked all fuses and found 2 bad (Eco sensors under the hood. 30amp)
Changed, and still no start just turns over.
Any idea what else it could be??
Crank sensor? Coils?

Ive gone through ever process i can think of except for changing these items.

Hi

Is the display still showing on the commander as the battery/jump start or replacing fuse can spike the ecu and blow a fuse in it and this will stop the fuel pump from working and you will lose your map.

EvoVIII808 Jun 11, 2009 04:59 PM

Everything still works on the commander. All sensors are good, all fuses replaced 2 days ago, and i checked again yesterday. Reset and installed the settings. Everything looks good with the ECU. Fuel pump primes, and can smell fuel when trying to start. Just not getting Spark. I dont have a CEL light or anything like that.
I think it might be a Relay, or the CAS sensor.

Is it possible for something inside the PFC to Bad. Checked plugs and getting spark on 1&3 nothing on 2&4

Check to make sure that you are getting 12 volts to the coil packs......could be a bad IGN relay.

EvoVIII808 Jun 20, 2009 07:39 PM

yup i just thought about that too. will check when i get home. got another problem to deal with now. My fuel pump is dead i think. No Prime, all fuses good and all relays replaced.
sounds like time for an Overhaul :(

sunnydaze Jun 21, 2009 04:25 AM

Yeah you always have sh!t like that to deal with whenever you park a car up for a while.

EvoVIII808 Jun 21, 2009 02:02 PM

yeah, tell me about that. im still working the issues now, Gota get the size 8 for the fuel pump.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm having the same problem.

tonyp1025 Dec 18, 2009 03:52 AM

any news solving the issue...

VRSF Tiago Dec 18, 2009 08:33 AM

I fixed mine, was the crank position sensor.

sry to bring up old thread, but to close. It was the fuel pump. since it sat, i had to turn the over longer then normal, then it just fired right up. I found this in another thread here. Tried it, and it started.

Do you know if this works on the EVO 9?

EvoVIII808 Jan 23, 2010 02:49 PM

It should. cars are basically the same, just some sensors added for the 9.
