Kelford 272 cam's

I would like to know before, i buy these things, if they are reliable for daily driving, and if they are going to require anything to be done to the valve train during the install. Thanks!

I've had mine in since 185k.

Upgraded valvetrain with super tech duals later, about 30K later, LOL
Just good insurance.

We have run many sets of Kelford 272s in our own cars, and customer cars. We have never had, or seen any issues with the cams themselves.

We usually recommend going with either the Super Tech Single Spring and Retainer kit, or the Super Tech Duals.

Any other questions, feel free to send me a PM.

I run em in my car.. personally if i was in the market for a mid range cam id go with a s2 since the price is so much lower and the cams are just as good.

New Kelfords are great. Don't buy used. There was a batch back in early 2009 that was bad and the intake cam was snapping at the mivec oiling holes. The same was true for GSC and Cossie too I believe. I bought a used set last summer and I had this happen to me. Took out the head (scored one of the journals pretty badly, so much so that the head was unusable), valves, and pistons.

Edit: Just noticed you have an 8...disregard everything I said in that case.

I have them in my car and they are awesome. Mine idle smooth and have no issue with driving them daily. The car is STM tuned on a AEM ems though so I cant say how they would be on the stock ecu. I would strongly suggest doing the springs and prob the valve seals since you already have it apart anyways. No sense in doing the work twice
