Can you get hands on ARC intercooler? How do they do in comparison with the other intercoolers? Thanks

I can get ARC intercooler if you are interested. But keep in mind that, choosing a proper IC to match your modification is very essential. If you are running stock turbo, go with GReddy v-spl or something similar in that dimension. If you plan on running larger turbo setup, bigger IC will definitely help.

oh, are there any downsides to having the ARC intercooler while running the stock turbo? Like will the ARC vs. the Greddy V-spl result less power? I plan to upgrade turbo in the future that's the thing.

If you are a JDM parts junkie, yeah ARC makes great ICs, just very expensive.. Thats probably the only down side.

If you plan upgrading the turbo, go with the turbo first, get it tuned, and then see if a larger IC will be needed.

oh alright thanks Cal. But what was the thing u said about the proper intercooler being essential to match your modifications? Basically the ARC will do the same or better than the Greddy V, but it'll just be kind of a ... overshot and waste of money?

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you.. was pretty tired when I responded to that... What i meant was choosing the right size IC that suits your mods instead of just throwing whatever is available to you.

Hey all,

happy new year!!

Just a couple of quick Q's

I really like the design of the ARC intercooler, the end tanks seem to be the best flowing and the core seems very good (visually) too.

Does the arc fit with other LICP and UICP kits on the market. like the buschur, Nisei, AMS etc

does ARC have a web site addy?

my car will have minor mods (still waiting for shipping) and was wondering if the ARC would be a worthy upgrade or if I'm just wasting my money? My mods are:

WORKS O2 housing
WORKS 3" TBE with resonated test pipe
WORKS drop in filter
WORKS DV
UICP and LICP (undecided on what to get as it seems the ARC set follows the route of the stock pipes?
ECUTEK

Thanks
Mike

BoostedGP: I believe any piping that works with OEM piping will work with the ARC. Its a drop-in replacement.

I'd go with AMS piping

Way too much for my blood. But I think I will still spend the $1300.
