I recently purchased a rexpeed type c carbon fiber spoiler and this was my experience:

The first one had noticeable flaws in the carbon fiber. The edges were rough to the touch, and the finish was wavy. Unhappy w/ the product, I contacted rexpeed and he promised to replace it after I had sent pictures of the flaws. He said he would talk to his guy at the factory and make sure the next one was perfect.

The 2nd Spoiler arrived, the quality of the carbon fiber appeared better at first. However, when I attempted to mount the spoiler, I found the mounting holes were filled with some sort of resin - enough that it was damaging the threads on the mounting bolts. When i pulled it off, I was able to see that 2 of the 4 holes were filled.

I contacted rexpeed again. He stated it was probably not resin, but paint overspray since they spraypaint the bottom of the spoiler black. He said he has never heard of the holes filling up, and instructed that I use an exacto-knife to cut the resin out.

I was surprised that I was asked to modify the finished product. Unfortunately the resin was too thick for an exacto-knife. I ended up drilling through the resin, and then taping the threads. Fortunately I had the skill/tools to do this.

After finally installing the spoiler, I noticed a rather annoying quarter-sizedd blister in the top face, which I guess I will just live with. In my opinion, the quality/finish of carbon fiber finish leaves much to be desired and I am disappointed to have to re-tap mounting threads.
