I have been getting a miss when I get into boost. I checked the plugs, O2's, fuel pressure, and wiring. I reset the computer, drove for a little while untill I threw a CEL and plugged in a code reader. It read a baromic pressure code (MAP). Tommorrow I am trying my freinds MAS, I want to be sure before I buy one.

That code has nothing to do with the MAS sensor... that is saying that something is tripping out the MAP sensor. You should investigate that sensor not the MAS.

Is there a seperate MAP? I heard it was intergraded in the MAS.

They are seperate... it is that sensor that is on the intake manifold. It is just above the mounting for your throttle linkage and the connector is locked on by a metal clip.

After looking at your post again... i think i may be mistaken... did you mean to write MAP on that code description? The barometric pressure sensor should be in the MAS... the inlet air temp sensor as well as air flow sensor is in there as well. There are Three sensors in the MAS of the lancer.

If it just said Barometric pressure then you should look into your MAS... if it said MAP then you MAP is located where i stated above. Good luck.

I just looked at my car and the only connector I see with a metal clip is the one for the cruise control. I see a connector on the back of the manifold, but I beleive its the throttle position sensor.

Your looking at the throttle body area to much... the sensor is right above the throttle cable mounting bracket location. About 6 inches from the passenger side of the manifold. In the picture i'm attaching, although crappy, i've cicled it. It usually has a brown end on it.

I wouldnt worry about it beating up your motor too much. Granted the engine did not come stock to handle boost, but RRM and RIPP have given lots of hours to test their products and make sure they are safe on the cars (as long as the end uyser isnt stupid and runs more boost than told for a stock engine).

I am pretty sure you will be safe ...so dont worry about selling your sds.
