Lightbulb New To Lancer, Need a few suggestions.

I am new to Lancers, and I just bought a black 03 Lancer OZ. I was planning on making my car look good first, then work on performance. So, I was just seeing what you think I should work on buying first. I was thinking about going with the Black with a little red detail theme. But, suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

swap out your dome light with a red LED one.... get a deck with red lights. paint the center piece on the dash red. paint the interior grips red.
red and black bucket seats
black rims with the red lip
take stuff off in your engine bay valve cover and intake manifold... powder coat that red.

buy a red CAI ...

there you go man theres some suggestions.. lol ive done or want to do what ive just said.
im sure im forgetting some stuff

good luck

*also this isnt really forced induction mods move?

Thanks for the suggestions! It sounds just like what I would like! I was thinking the same about black rims with red lip but I couldnt really find ones that I think would fit the car perfectly, but I am still searching.

Say I buy 18" rims, think I should get it lowered?

I was thinking 18s might be too big. One Last question. What headlights/taillights do you prefer? And Do you think I should buy a different hood?

First off welcome. Second, this should be in the lancer general area. second, do what YOU want to do, not what other want you to do. Make it your own. I'm sure you've seen the tC commercials.

Become one of us, by becoming none of us. In other words, get your own style, don't copy someone elses or what you think someone else would want your car to look like.

Thank you. Sorry for posting in wrong section, and I didn't mean to make it seem as if I was copying off of someone else's style. I just wanted to see where to start in building my car.

Black out your headlights, that's a cheap, good start.

+1

forgot about that... blacked out head lights and tails are sexy.... especially on darker colored lancers

as for making it your own... lol there are only so many themes black and red is a sick theme as well common, its very easy to make it your own... maybe 6 spoke rims instead of 5.. .different variations of the same thing are awesome...

Hopefully i didnt come off as telling the OP what to do i just wanted to suggest stuff that looks good, i think thats what he is after anyways.

Yeah thanks for the suggestions guys! I was thinking of just keeping the stock wheels on for winter and save up some money for new wheels, but I want to paint the wheels for now, do you guys think bronze wheels would look good with a black body?

I would suggest you start by reading the FAQ in my sig, it should be helpful in figuring out what mods you want to do.
