hmmm...buy a used mirage for nothing and find a wrecked 2g fwd turbo dsm. Swap engines, make the wiring harness work and have a nice little sleeper

Maybe i'll try that. Silvias are becoming common, and the parts are just skytocketing. The 4g63t has awesome potential, more than the sr20det, I think. Plus the 4g63 aftermarket is huge here. So what's the year mirage to get, has to be the 4 door? Time for B to do some research

The 3G (too old) was from 89-92 (not sure on the 89 part), and 4G 93-96 are capable of receiving such transplant. the 3G is not like the EVO looking and I don't like it

For 4G, if you're looking for a sedan (coupe has different front end), they were only available in 93-94.

It is possible. I know ppl who have transplanted the 4G63T into a Dodge Colt and a Honda CRX. You'll have a lot of work to do but, it can be done.

Not all 1G DSMs are the AWD models. There are two turbo models the Talon Tsi and Tsi AWD. A friend of mine bought a used Tsi in awesome condition for $500!

I'm down to 3
S13 240sx with a SR20DET (planning for 3 years, but prices have gone through the roof since TFATF)
Mirage with a fwd 4g63t
EG hatch with I dunno, too many choices, but prolly a gs-r engine

B,

You can buy a used 4G63T from several vendors, one company is JDM I think. You'll have to search for import engines through yahoo or some other search engine. I know their out there because I did a search sometime back and found several vendors who specifically import used engines from JP to the US.

I don't know about the others, but my bet would be that the EG w/ gs-r will BLOW all those other ones away

I was planning on doing either the S14 coversion OR the EVO III myself also. I am not that big of a Honda fan...

If you want, I do have couple other links that might help you (tech-stuff) on the 4G63T swap...
