Demon_ni2 - the "Offical" Build Thread - the no holds bar build -[8UR EVO]-

FIRST VIDEO IS ON PAGE 11!
I started 'projekt evokilla' as a joke, plus to **** off some evo guys..
I will always bow to the awd abilities of the evo in the 300', but beyond that its fair game.
Not claiming to be able to beat any/all evos, this car is my fun toy, I've owned it for almost 10 years now.

I have no real goals with this setup other then to have fun and to go faster then it ever has, it's not the best platforum to build, but its better then nothing, i should have gotten rid of it a long time ago, but its stuck around because i couldn't justify replaceing it with something i couldn't buy paid off.

"you're a lancer freak" - no sir im not.. this is my first car, ive owned it for 9 years now, no point in getting rid of it. I've had a new DD car for a while now, and my very nice new work truck also.

I dont want to roll in some over modified honda that every else has.. I stand out of EVERY crowd im in, i just think the lancer suites my personality pretty well.

Car will be running on e85 only. Will have a small nitrous setup on it also, but nothing to serious.

today i finished what i started (for the most part)
finished painting and clearcoating the engine bay.. i might do one more layer of clear tomorrow.. but i doubt it..

little bit of overspray on the cradle and swaybar, but nothing that i care about.

plans for tomorrow are to start messing with the wiring harness and clean up the trans so it doesnt look so nasty(might paint it also, havent decided, just depends on how much has to be done to it.. for the most part it will be completely covered, so u wont ever see it. its just nice to have clean parts to work around..

Friday/saturday are kinda big days. got a few coming in to help out. might knock out the interrior stuff that i have left to do.. and also paint and install the built motor..just waitin on the call to come pick up the motor now.
at my current rate, i could actually have everything ready to run by the following weekend, got a couple obsticles i need to tackle before that can happen, so we will see how this weekend goes

Did you figure out the piping for the intercooler yet? It looks really tight in there.

ya. its what I'll be doing what i origonally wanted to do.. up and over! lol

the 2 or 3 different ways i can run it.. just arent that simple and alot of bends.. if i run it on a 90 over the valve cover to the passenger light and down to the intercooler its the simplest free flowing and not much longer. might not be exactly like that, we will be changin a few small things up that might add tons and tons more space to work with.

once the new setups in the car, it will be maken a weekend trip out to the shop again for the last few small changes.. and also to finish puttin her together.. yall might really like the last few modifications to the front clip. gotta just wait and see how the next couple weekends go first.

Ok. todays update, didnt do to much, but i did finish cleaning the engine bay, and i messed with the wiring harness for a little bit also.... doin my best to make it look pretty right now. only real things left to do is rewire the injectors, and run my fuel lines.

i need to mount my FPR and also my vacume box this weekend, just need to figure out where i want them.

will be working on the interrior tomorrow and saturday.. hopefully that will get completed if my buddy is able to help me out with making the seat brackets. just gotta wait and see how everything goes..
