this has been quoted. It's just down right funny. The last part about mcdonalds that is.

I dont wanna add anything to this cuz its really a no brainer. Buy what you want. Waste your money. Not a good product review it move on. Let others know. Don't hurt my feelings on my judgement.

And lancer2008 that's not the bov coming off there header if you are refering to the 02-06 lancer turbo kit. I havent seen the 08+ turbo kit yet. But for the 02-06 that's the wastegate.

Yes I know their prices are a bit high, and people/customers have problems with them, but what about the happy customers? I guess no one is chiming in, but I do support them because of the fact that they are THE ONLY COMPANY that is willing to produce a turbo kit for lancers here in the U.S. Oh yeah, it's $4200+ but tell me where else here in the states can you find a turbo kit for the 08+ lancer right now. Otherwise go do a custom one like others have done. If you dont have the time, then Bam, here comes rrm with one ready, just bolt on and go. But like evo soul said, they are a business and businesses have their +'s and -'s. I hate the mcdonalds down the street because their *******s, but I still go there once a year for the McRibb
lol just looking at your post i can tell you're a teenager, you sit on the sideline and read other post and post stuff like "pwnt" not even understanding what "pwning" was done. so the fact that they're the only company to produce a turbo kit for an ecobox car makes them good? you know why other peole dont make them for the lancer? because its a waste of time, sure you'll get the handfew people who will pay the 5 grand for a kit, but if you bought a lancer to go fast than you obviously bought the wrong car. so the fact that you're supporting them for making a turbo kit that you dont even own, lives up to my fact, yes you are in fact a fanboy. nobody is saying they're the worst company ever, which you seem to be getting butthurt over anyone saying anything negative and call it "hating" i dont know its called hating when a company sells springs that 240 bucks and doing a quick ebay search can find them for 190. if you call that hating then you have no idea what it means to "hate".

you're basically a troll. so before you get this thread locked, just do everyone a favor and stay out, there were valid arguments before you came in throwing mcdonalds and stupid comments in this thread, thats how these RRM threads ALWAYS get locked, people are having a discussion and some RRM D*ck rider comes in defending everything RRM sells and starts blurring out with the immaturity.

just look at the thread before you came in with your unneeded immature comment

Shifting gears here so to speak, are there any widely recognized design flaws with RRM products, or is it the price of the items that is the issue?

Their quality is pretty good - it seems that the price points are an issue. But if you're a Porsche guy, pricey parts are something you're no stranger to anyway

1) there were slight issues with the first generation fly wheel, they released a second version.
2) they improved upon the SRI with a second version.
3) Also Header was causing issues and then the released a second version.
4) Exhaust also was updated to rectified any rust issues.

They are pretty good with the 2008 lancer stuff in terms of updating the product line. In line with what other companies have done to address issues.

Would i be correct is saying that you have all the maps you need from open ecu and that is good so you tune the maps (fuel and timing and what not) but the car wont hit the target AFR on anything over atmospheric?

Did not know that there were as many boosted 08 Lancers....

They told my No other turbo setup will work on our cars but THEIRS. They claim that they have only mastered the car and it took two years. Well I'm no dummy so i contacted rrm again and asked to buy just the ftc1 controller they sell. Well the saleperson asked if i was n/a or turbo. When i mentioned turbo he quickly let me know they dont sell it by itself and only with theri over priced kit. Well not letting that bug me i contacted split second for them to sell me the box direct. I didnt want rrm's tune since my setup is diffrent just the box for me to use to do my own tune. no sooner did i explain rrm refused to sell split seconds product the saleperson from rrm contacted split second to make sure they didnt sell me any form of the box rrm uses. Now explan to me how only rrm's turbo can work on our cars? And why would rrm go out of their way to make sure i did not acquire the ftc1 box? Well i can tell you that two things are for sure rrm is a bs company that give two craps about customers or customer service and the second any turbo setup can work they just dont want the general public to find any other sources besides theirs.

i dont know about the rest of you but i am refusing to purchase any and all items from rrm from here out. and will diplay this same post on every mitsubishi forums until i am happy and content.

looks like I nicked you in the butt there little buddy. I wonder how long it took you to think of all this, I imagined you when typing all this, deleting crap, adding crap, making sure you sound as grown up as possible with your "intellectual knowledge", im guessing a good 45 minutes to write all that up. Like I said before, go put on your fake *** evo kit, and skedaddle. RRM is a BUSINESS, like them or hate them, no one's putting a gun to your evo x kit and forcing you to buy their stuff.

price of their products and false claims is probably number 1.

many times they have been caught in a lie only to have a mod on here ban that member(s) for a few days and delete his/there posts because rrm cried about it.

when stuff like this goes down many of their fan boys come out of the woodwork, start spewing off garbage and more or less getting the thread locked.. pretty well what is going on now.

I think the BBB rating speaks for itself really.

Thanks for the feedback.

False claims and poorly engineered items are a cause for concern, at any price.

I love RRM, Rob amd the rest of the crew have been so good to me and I sport my RRM parts with pride. My car is a mix of RRM and RPW parts and I would not have it any other way, both places know what they are doing.
Go with the best or end up like the rest.

bought a $90 camber kit from RRM thinking it was higher quality than eBay's $20 kit

RRM

vs

eBay

I'll give you 3 guesses as to which picture matched the parts I got in the mail a week later

thank god someone else realized that, but he hit it right on the head, i wont be surprised if this lasts much longer

i dont hate RRM, i have the V1 intake that was the first mod i purchased when i got my lancer, have i bought one since? no. it did far away from taking a full second from my 0-60 i feel like all it does is make noise at higher rpms
