The fuel pump is needed yes , they cheap hundred something new.I believe 03 was the first years for the non return fuel system correct? Idk much on theem I know the return system ones need a rising rate regulator.

I'm pretty sure the 02-03 have a return fuel system so you would need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. As for the fuel pump you only need one if you run 10+ PSI and same for the EVO 8-9 Maf and 440cc injectors but might as well get it if you have the rest already! The stock engine can take 10 psi easy if it's healthy.... i have proof from running it on the track for over 2 years no problem! If u ever need help u can send me a PM i come on once in a while to check my messages.
Good luck!

I'll probably just buy the new fuel pump, just so there wont be any issues with fuel starvation. My engine is a bit tired at 175k, but i have a fresh head i can slap on if the need does arise. I still plan on 10psi!
Pics as promised
Definitely a return fuel system.

Oh yes, I would rather not have crazy loud exhaust ALL the time. I may get creative with 2 of the flapper parts so it can fully dump all the exhaust out the cutout vs most of it.
Oh yea ive read the heads are pretty dang decent. If something does hit the fan and the bottom end is good, ill be happy. If not, then im going junkyard 4g64 with a hyundai dohc head and continuing the boost dreams, with more ponies and easier sourced parts lol.
Thank you guys for the protips!

Ran into a problem with my oil feed, the used setup has some rust in the fitting and wont screw into the sandwhich adapter.
1) can i buy a new fitting, cut this end off and put the new one on?
2) should i buy a whole new feed line? If so what specs do i need?
