You'll need remove the oil pan, timing cover, and ladder frame, plus all the engine mounts and accessories that are in the way. It's straight forward, but time consuming.

I had the engine and transmission out when I did mine. I believe there are about a dozen 8mm bolts going up through to the engine block that hold the ladder frame on. There are also 2-4 that go through the transmission. Your best bet is to find the Service Manual so you know exactly where everything is. PM me and I can send you pics with more detail.
