They're decent speakers its all about how you install them though; if you do a good install you will have good sound plain and simple.

when i was purchasing subs i compared them in the same room with JL w7,and 2 Solar Barics L7s. Both the W7 and L7s blew them away. They were hooked up t the same amp. in the same room.

I've a set of 10" in an Enclosed box and they sounded good with only a 300w amp .. I ust got a 1200 so I'm hoping that will make it a firmer bump ..

I am also looking at the 6 1/2 type-r component systems ... Just not sure if they will fit in my doors :P

Be careful you're pushing their thermal power handling there you might melt the Voice Coils on the subs with that much energy.

I have 2 12"Stype and they sound good, but I just want clarity just as much as Bass, but if you want something to hit hard I would go with the JL or SoloBarics IMO. But what ever sounds good to you is what you should get!

Type-R all the way around is the way to go.
6.5 separates in front, 6.5 2 way in rear with a 10' sealed box sub.

I just got it installed last week and am still tweaking my 5 channel Alpine amp but the sound is great. Nice and clear.

Type-R 10' subs are rated at 1000 watts

type r subs are rated at 100-300 watts for 10". this is RMS value which is the only value you should consider. looking at peak value is worthless.

type r speakers are eh. they are not very efficient. i'd go with infinity if that's your price range. jbls are pretty good too and kinda cheap.
