hey i got xm radio right now installed the antenna inside of the car but the reception aint to good the people that have xm radio can you post pics on where you installed the antenna and if you have the delphi or whatever hardware where you put it in the car

no pix cuz I'm too lazy to walk to my car but ugh I have an evo but that shouldn't matter I also have the ssl I put it right in front of the sunroof I ran it along the inside of the trim then down the side of thewindshield and through the firewall they give you plenty of cord good luck

i put mine on the trunk lid under the passenger side of the spoiler. My reception is fine.

I put mine in the rear window on the side of my third brake light. i get an awsome reception.

 

put the damn thing on the roof or on the trunk. They have magnets on them, why would you try to place it inside the car? Can you read directions?

 

The antenna for the sirrus/xm is supposed to go on the outside of the car, on the roof with access to the sky so that it can recieve the signal from the satalite or repeater. When you install the antenna on your dash somewhere, it will pick up the signal somewhat, but depending on where on your dash it sits the signal may cut in and out. Here is why:

The signal bounces off of your window and then reflects to your antena, so if you have tinted windows, the antenna installed somewhere not logical, then the signal will suck...

Just put the antenna on your rear deck and you should be fine if you dont want it on your roof....

 

I put mine in the center of the dash between the two defrost vent. i have no problems. i do have sirrius though, i dont know if that makes a diff.

 

shouldn't make a difference..that far up on the dash will work without any problems...I have put the antenna on rigs there without any issues..

 

IMO the antenna takes away the look of the car. Not just that you get all the dumb kids pulling at your antenna just cause it has a magnet.

 

its a small 1" square...noone even sees the damn thing.

 

I see it and that is the one person that matter to me. ha ha ha

 

where mine is I can hardly see it. If I didn't know it was there I wouldn't notice it at all.
