no, not unless you want to turn your amp on and off whenever you want, just connect to the antenna turn on so it turns on and off with your radio

ok, so with this headunit, will i be able to turn the bass off whenever i need to? cause i like the radio on, but with grandma in the back on the way to church isn't the best time for bass, but she might just want the radio. i should be able to adjust it right?

i got a better idea, when we build the box the back peice will be fiberglass so you can see right into it... stick some LEDS or somethin in there if you want to show it off if you like that

humm^. so will they subs be facing towards trunk opening, or towards the people in the back seat. If we face the subs towards the trunk opening, nobody will be able to see the backside of the subs anyway, right? so if ur mean facing them towards the backseat, why do we need to enclose the subs in plexiglass, why not put them in a box facing the opposite direction subs normally do with the backside of the subs revealed, and show them that way? the box would be smaller too and same some space. LMK which ur thinking bene... much appreciated!

i was thinking we could have the subs facing at the backseat, firing out the back of the trunk, and build a wood box but just put fiberglass on the back so u can see the magnet and all that, the subs sound alot better enclosed, rather then enclosure the front... but if u want something like http://www.carstereo.com.au/images/g...00/bootall.jpg we can make it happen

AHH! i gotcha, so facing backseat, enclosed in a box, just with glass on back so u can see them! i follow. That would be GREAT! also, just a though, if we glass the back, I should be able to make a plexi upsidedown "U" piece so we can see the strut bar..AND..light the tube! it sounds like a lot, but it really shouldn't be when it gets down to it, and Im pretty god at carpentry and plexiglass. how we doin?

^well, my idea for the strut bar is...
when we cut into the bottom of the box, essentially, we are making a tunnel for the bar to run through. If I can find a plastic type of clear circular tubing and cut it in 1/2 forming a "C" shape, we can put this in the slot we cut to cover the strut bar. that way, we can see the strut and not just cover it with more wood. LMK if u follow.

that would work great, but we have to make sure theres clearence for the strut bar. what are the options for a vent in the front, under the 'glass maybe? idk about the airflow part so i look to you again.
