All I know is that I'm not a fan of "Kickerz"

I'm looking to put a system in my car, nothing to serious (I drive a 04 ES.. the Lancers aren't the biggest cars, so no need to overwhelm myself) (I'm also a girl and I listen to a variety of music) I hate kickerz, I just don't like how they sound at all.

I like the Infinity Kappa Series for the inside possibly, or maybe pioneer.
for the Subs I was thinking some JL 10w3 and for the amp I was considering
JL 250/1

would this be a decent system? I really don't need to have it so powerful that people hear me coming from around the block when all my windows are up, i'm putting the system in for MY enjoyment! I'm not trying to blow madddddd cake on it, so how much is all of ths, and is it any good? Thanks

Not sure if you are, but maybe sound quality is what you might enjoy more than pure output. I enjoy my all-round sound quality (in cabin) of MB Quart with Polk Momo subs (2 12s) in the trunk. If you have a Tweeters near by, I'd recommend listening to their displays...don't buy there (expensive!), but just listen and learn.

Good luck!

Yes I'm more about sound quality, I would like some "boom boom" because who doesn't, but I would rather hear what the heck the people are saying rather then just hearing the bass. I'm gonna check up what MB Quart and Polk Momo Subs are to hear them out. I never heard of a tweeters before but time to check google. lol.

No Miami locations that I could see, but look for yourself... ( http://www.tweeter.com/corp/index.js...ator=&state=FL ). Both MB Quart and Polk (Momo) products are found at Tweeters.

Same here. I dont like overwhelming bass as much as quality. If I ever get around to my stereo then I will just run some JL speakers all around runnin through an amp. From what I heard(and felt) at my local audio store I think those bad boys put out enough bass to satisfy me without a sub and also sound very good quality wise. Good luck with whatever route you choose.

Kickers are the best in my opinion. They sound nice on a bandpass box.

"kicker" is a good brand, good build quality etc. BUT they are a buzzy, which is, they put out a ton of boom and the sound quality isn't great.

I like alpine type R's or JL w3's

I use to be a car audio installer and my choice is a JL sub with MB all around and Rockfordfosgate Amps. JL subs never let me down. The rest seems to change yearly.

^Two votes for MB Quart! And I do agree JL makes a great sub (had 2 'ol W0s a while back), if you can afford them that is... And in the amp category, one thought...don't get a fan-cooled amp! Mosfet FTW!
