Thanx!

Hey Thanx for the guide! It worked great. Just a suggestion to anyone else. The best way to get the piece around the cd player and nobs and stuff is by using a paint remover. (those fat ended metal things) and just go around the edges until it pops off. Itdoesn't leave any scuff marks. Thanx AGAIN GUYS!

Any other solutions to the trim ring not fitting correctly?

I tried electrical tape and that was a pure white trash solution.

I am willing to purchase another plastic cover and dremmel it out larger to fit the trim ring but I don't know of a place to purchase one cheap. Any suggestions?

Hey thanks for the great write up. Everything went really smooth on my install. I was starting to have flash backs with the 2nd soft screw on the mounting bracket. I struggled so hard on my Maxima with the same screws on the factory Nissan deck. Only 1 out of 8 or so came right out. Most of the others had to be drilled out. Thank God I didn't go through that with this one. I installed a Alpine 9807 that I've had laying around for a bit. Thanks again.

I am also using that same wiring harness and I noticed on the brown wire it said "dimmer" near the end. I had no idea what it was for either.

I just wired up my pioneer 6400 up and that **** aint working. I soldered the pionner harness up to the new mitsu harness that i bought today, and i'm getting NOTHING. The only thing i can think of is that when i was stripping the wires from the mitsu harness, i pulled the red cord out of the harness. The thing is tho, it can only go in 1 of 3 spots, and i put it back in all 3 and tried each time and it's still giving me nothing. Any pros have any ideas for me?

im using a kenwood headunit and i have 4 extra wires coming from it. and 3 wires coming from my wiring harness. 2 orange ones 1 is for illumination and other for dimmer the 3rd one is for power antenna which i dont need. from the stereo is 2 blue ones 1 with stripe 1 w/o and a black and brown one. My problem is that once i hook it up none of my guages OR heating/cooling panel lights work. when i put in manufacture uh from mitsu they work fine. anyone have this problem and how do i fix it?

i have the infinity audio system in my lancer oz, now, i went to circuit city to get a new pioneer head unit installed into it, and after a hour of sitting there waiting, bc they had to do a gto first, they finally pull my car in and its just about 5pm now, quitting time, so they tell me that i need a specialized part that i can only get if i dig online for hours to get, now im pretty sure its b/s but they sed its an intergration harness, and i have seen that mentioned in this post, but its to the amp, not straight to electrical system, is this correct or was i whiffed by circuit city?

I am trying to find a good spot in the dash where to set the ground wire.
It is about 10 inches long any good area?
