Talking Can you run a 10" sub with a stock radio?

While I do know a lot about modding cars performance wise I do not know much about the audio aspect of it. I have a PPI 10 and an amp that was in the back of my previous car that I would like to transfer over to my Lancer. Am I correct in assuming that you cannot use the stock radio to run this setup.

Also, I did search and found that there are places where you can run the power wire without cutting up the firewall which is really helpful but if you were to drill where is the best place?

Thanks
Daniel

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima ( no bose, thnk god) and am runnng two 12's and a crossfire 300watt @ 4 ohms RMS.
I just have it running with the stock system deck/speakers/OEM amps. Unless your amp has a special connection for high/low input , in addition to the standard RCA connections; then your going to have to use what is called a high/low pass converter. which basically splices into the rear speakers for the source to run to the amp. Most audio shops should be able to hook the sub and amp up to the stock system for about 50 dollars.

you can do it. but just remember that your speakers and subs etc will only reproduce the signal it gets. so if in the beginning the signal is bad then you're gonna get a bad sound. i
