LEft speaker only, bluetooth

Hi, firstly sorry if this is old news and has been solved already. If so please point me towards a solution. My new 2016 Lancer came with a DAB touchscreen radio. It has bluetooth connectivity and usb slot next to the 12v power socket etc. However the age old decision from Mitsubishi to only have audio coming from one speaker still occurs. I have read this has been the case for a while and I am baffled as to why they would do such a daft thing. If your car like mine is right hand drive only the left speaker plays bluetooth audio, i.e. phone calls and sat nav. This is really annoying whilst on motorways or rough roads as you simply cannot hear it properly. If I connect it via bluetooth as a music player it will play out of both speakers in stereo, however you then cannot listen to music at the same time. In the menu of the unit is an option to change which speaker the audio comes from, left , right or both but it is greyed out from factory. Why put in an option and not let you choose it ? Anyway, after much complaining to the dealership they sat in my car and pressed a sequence of buttons to get into the hidden menu mode where they could change all manner of things audio wise, one option was for left hand drive cars which is what they did and now phone calls and satnav come from the drivers side of my car as it thinks its a LHD. Genius ! mmmm what they wouldnt do is tell me the secret sequence to access this menu....because i am sure it will allow you to have both speakers working and also the ATT option which stops it sounding like a 8bit robot on the line. My question is does anyone know how to access the hidden menu in the new or even the older 2015 non DAB version of this head unit. Failing that is it as i suspect a visteon made unit as are most these days, as i need or want to find a solution to this issue that plagues many but is not anywhere on the internet as far as i can see. Thank you for reading and hope to find a tech savvie electrician who knows i am not asking for the codes to the safe just a simple hack of a radio unit that apart from the stupid decision from Mitsubishi is perfect for my needs.
