Pioneer speakers?
hey you guys think this is a good deal?? i was really thinkin about getting it.
2 pioneer 6.5" speakers for $40 http://7925.adahost.com/computer/ind...item14085.html would those fit?? i took my bigass bass system out and am just lookin for some good bassy speakers that sound good.. |
6.5" don't quite fit, but you can get adaptors on ebay for like $5 (we have stupid 6.75" speakers). If you wanna really pump it up, get these:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOTSA1680R They're their 4-way speakers, have amazing range. People will look under their seats trying to find your huge subs ;) |
thats only for one tho right?? lil above my budget
|
Do you know if thos adaptors from EBay fit the stock mounting holes?

Official size is 6 3/4, and the 6 1/2s don't fit without modification, sadly (I know, I tried). I didn't check for details on the ebay brackets. If you're lazy and don't mind waiting another paycheck, just order 'em and take 'em to a good shop where they'll do the install for ya (speaker wiring harnesses are worth the install cost alone), maybe even Dynomat 'em for ya too

dynamat is heavy tho! haha see im trying to get rid of weight.
i might try the 6.5 pioneers with the adaptors youre talkin about. |

Haha, I thought he meant $5/adapter was too much. Yeah, $64/pair (or less if you look really carefully - try Etronics.com) isn't too bad. And I don't think Dynamat is ~that~ heavy, especially if you just use speaker kits and don't coat your entire car in it <0.o>;;;

Eric - I have those adapters in stock if you need them. Hit me up :)
|
thanks josh! im seeing what this sponsor thang is gona do this week.. then start gettin stuff again..

I bought some of those speaker adapters from mjmautoinnovations on ebay. The brackets fit the factory opening in the door perfect, but some speakers don't fit in the brackets. The basket was too big for the audiobahn 6.5 I bought. So I had to cut an extra 1/4 inch from the bracket so they would fit. Not that big of a hassle if you have a jig saw.

I have some pioneer 4-ways in the front and they are great. I made my own adapters for like $1.50. I need to get an amp though to run my new speakers though cuz my H.U. just isnt' cutting it.
