Autometer narroband A/F to Wideband A/F conversion!

I was looking around for some wideband A/F gauge kits and I found this.

http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=151

Basically converts Autometer's "lightshow" Air/Fuel Ratio to a Wideband cheaply. Anyone hear about this? What do you guys think?

"LC-1 Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio system for Autometer" PRICE - $199

A wideband controller that will turn your current Autometer air/fuel ratio gauge into a real wideband gauge. Simple installation, comes with everything you need for a complete installation (wideband controller, wideband o2 sensor, cables, bungs etc..). No laptop needed! This Wideband controller comes pre-programmed to work right out of the box.

Compatible Autometer Gauges:
2675 Z-Series Air/Fuel Ration (Black Dial & Bezel)
3375 Sport-Comp Air/Fuel Ratio (Black Dial, Silver Bezel)
4175 Lunar Air/Fuel (White Dial, Silver Bezel, Black Numbering & Increments, and Green Nite Glow)
4375 Ultra-Lite Air/Fuel Ratio (Silver Dial, Silver Bezel)
4775 Carbon Fiber Air/Fuel Ratio (Carbon Fiber Dial, Silver Bezel)
5775 Phantom Air/Fuel Ratio (White Dial, Black Bezel)
6175 Cobalt Air/Fuel Ratio (Black Dial, Anodized Bezel, White Numbering & Blue Accents)
7175 C2 Air/Fuel Ratio (White Dial-Blue at night, Chrome Bezel, Orange Pointer, Black Numbering)

I emailed them, so I will find out what needs to be purchased and how much it costs.

Sweet. I'm interested, since you can get the lightshow pretty damn cheap used.

So explain this to me: Using the AutoMeter Narrowband O2 sensor and guage you will with this device be able to display Wideband sensor readings? I don't understand how you could get a wideband signal from a Narrowband sensor... btw I'm new to this whole tuning thing...

Nevermind I read up on it and it seems to just take the Narrowband gauge readout and allow you to see the Air/fuel ratio in a linear fashion. You still have to have a wideband O2 sensor though.

They are saying for setups that read a from a wideband but display with a narrow band gauge... why not just spring for a narrow band gauge with a wideband digital readout? Again if I have misread this someone please correct me.

To my knowledge Fox, you're right. The device doesn't allow a narrowband to perform as a wideband, you don't get any a/f/r numbers off of it. It simply converts the signal from a narrowband guage to a wideband guage so you don't have to buy different guages if you already have them. To do tuning, this device will not work for reading air fuel ratios.

I'm surprised you guys found this just now. Wideband sensor + controller + narrowband gauge + that gadget from PLX = might as well buy a real wideband gauge.

If you guys read it correctly, it says "Must be used with PLX M-Series Wideband controller" Which I've looked and it looks like it's $195, but I'm still waiting on that email back. I'll get back to you guys asap!
