ya lil late, but check ur maf sensor or throttle cable....i had same problem and ended up being a bad maf sensor. everytime a surge hit or i was at idle it tried to die, until it did lol..added a cap and new sensor and adjusted throttle cable and now all good

Stock alt puts out about 90 amps, just do the big 3, helped me so headlights don't dim when bass hitting and putting all 4 windows down/up
