there isn't much you can do unless you get a PIGGYBACK and load a few new maps. That's the only true way to go unless you save up and buy some bolt on mods.
Save for the piggy and you won't regret it once you see what it'll unleash from your baby. Then after that little by little, you start buying some bolt-ons. No need to rush and get yourself into a big debt. Or save alot up and GO TURBO!!!{thumbup} |
yeh thats what im doing. im broke also. but im buying bit by bit. this friday im buyin an Ebay intake kit, and a K&N filter, so it should come to about $50-60

What's up Mr. Columbia... As far as free mods go, good luck with that one. But take your time to wade through this site and you'll find everything you'll need to know. For example, the v.2 RRM piggy is the best "bang for your buck" (when you get bucks).

Have you ever heard of "The Definitive Guide to Low-Buck Performance" book? There are over 40 suggestions of things you can do to improve performance.
|
Oh yea. Some are free and you will need to put in a lot of wrench time. Some aren't that free and you will need to put up a little money and of course a lot of time under the hood.

those "free horsepower mod" guides look pretty good.
which ones of those are really do-able though? a couple of em look scary. Like the throttle body coolant bypass, looks kinda risky, and then the IAT sensor relocation n such. |
I've done the coolant bypass without any sideaffects and its very easy.
