ECU O2 sensor wire?

Does anyone know which wire on the ECU connector harness is the O2 sensor wire? Need to find out which one it is by this weekend!!

why not follow it lol

HAHA youre funny! lol but there are 2 O2 sensors!

RRE has an Evo X ecu pinout on their website. I wonder if it would be similar to the lancer's.

Connector B-108 (the bigger 64 pin connector) of the two main ones. Pins 39-38 are for the front O2 sensor, and pins 40-41 for the rear sensor. Pins 39 and 41 being the ECU internal ground.

Just curious why you need to know this?

you are a lifesaver!! thanks a lot! so basically pin 38 for the front O2 sensor signal wire? are the pins numbered when looking at the connector with the "clip" side up? and I got a turbo timer that also displays AFR, so I want to hook it up!

CamShaft Apr 2, 2010 05:55 PM

If you look at your ECU the pins from left to right in the top row will be 1-16, and 17-32 next row, ect. So your connector (LOOKING INTO THE FACE OF IT) should be 1-16 from right to left. (ACCORDING TO THE SCHEMATIC.) The signal pin for the from O2 sensor will be 38. This should be a twisted pair wire (RED and Sky Blue), you want the red wire.

Good luck

dude you are a savior, thank you so much! that was definitely the right wire, turns out these cars run freakin' RICH from the factory! my Apex'i TT reads down to 10.0 AFR (theoretical, narrowband) and has an AFR light that blinks when it is actually below 10, and whenever im accelerating, its at 10.0 and blinking! lol so much for a real econobox, maybe its not after all! :mitsu:

That is very interesting, weird fuel mapping....but then again you see 2L's out there in other cars not pushing 140HP stock... so I am sure mitsu pumps a little more fuel but took away in other areas to meet EPA requirements but still pump out HP.

is it possible to not have a wire in the #38 pin, i counted over and over and over.

yitzac1990 Jun 23, 2010 02:49 PM

you have to be very careful when you count your wires, its easy to get them backwards as far as which wire is 1, and which is 16. this is what happened to me, but then i re-read what CamShaft said, turned my counting around, and got it. try counting again

Ive got a lancer 2008 will this be the same for me

Far easier to access either O2 sensor wiring in engine bay fuse box on connector A-10.
