anyone out there able to provide a reliable ecuflash XML definitions for a; EU 2009 1.8/4B10 5MT (52500012), thanks

Try to see if any other more experienced user may confirm that everything is ok.

thanks for taking the time to try and help, does allow me to open the ecu bin into ECUflash however the definiton addresses (maps) are very much no where near correct

Try to see if there is a definition file + rom that matches yours.
To try to map all settings takes a long time.
TunerPro is a program that might help on that, on Tools - Advanced you have the possibility to verify tha data on 3D graphical including its address.
Can't help you more than this, since i don't tune...
