I don't know the difference, but on the RRM site, buying a 1st Gen vs. a 2nd Gen bored IM are different choices. So something must be different...

Any intake for a Lancer. It fits the same cause you use the same throttle body.

Did anyone have a problem with intake leak ?

Because i now have a hugggee Egr exhaust leak where it bolts up to the head . Do i need 4G94 gasket ?

Because i used a 4g94 brand new gasket and torqued to specs or did i get the wrong intake mani ?
It was off a 00 4g93

EGR leak has nothing to do with the manifold, except for where the EGR connects to the IM, and the gasket is the same in that retrospect.

Thats what i just said lol
That it leaks from where it bolts up to the head meanign where the gasket is at .

How do you know that you have a leak? What code are you running? P0401? P0403?

Alot of ticking under acceleration and i also feel and hear alot of exhaust leak .

Already fixed it either way pull the intake mani again and saw alot of black markings of where the leak was . Used some high temp gasket maker around the Egr port and closed it back up , no problem now .
