Honestly, you bought the wrong car for those plans. The Lancer cannot take that type of power unless you have seriously deep pockets.

You can make great power with a basic RRM turbo kit. If you have enough money, you can build the motor to be a 300hp beast. But trying something that amazingly different like swapping a DOHC head is going to take lots of Reseach and Testing by YOU. No one has ever done it before (that I know of).

I think you have good plans, you just need to learn a bit more about the Lancer platform and how things work with our 4G94 motor.

i agree with you blacksheepdj and mostly everyone else on the forum with that i dont know too much about mitsubishis. before my lancer i owned a nissan 240sx and a honca accord. both of which were really easy to swap parts so im not used to the DSM platform what so ever. but its a learning process and im working on it. thanks for everyones help. i dont think ill do the dohc swap considering its just nearly impossible.

i still plan to turbo it and all that other stuff and my goal for my lancer is to get at least 300hp to the wheels. im not sure if that will happen but its a goal. money is not an object for me but i still want to work with the ES.

considering im not familiar with the 4G94 motor. i have an automatic trans and plan to convert it to stick. i have the transmission and the center console. i still need the pedals and im working on getting that with the cable system for the pedals. but aside from those three parts; the trans, console, pedals... is there anything else i need to get to convert it to stick. i heard from someone that i need to buy a new computer with it but i dont trust that guy and i trust all of you much more than him. any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated

There's a thread on here that states all the parts you need to convert to manual.

ok, i went through the posts with converting auto to manual and i found this.

parts needed:
1)trans
2)ECU
3)clutch assembly
4)new brake pedal
5)linkages
6)center console
7)wire harness
8)flywheel

is there anything i should add to that list. the real only reason why im asking is because i plan on doing this swap within the next few weeks and i want to make sure i have everything that is needed and not sitting there missing a part and having my car out of commission longer than it needs to be.

The only DOHC facing the right way is the Taiwanese Virage (4g93E) by China Motors Corp.

In Japan, there is a 4g94T that is GDI for the Pajero or something similar. Forgot GDI (works like Diesel), the head shape is all wonky for regular fuel injected cars.

In Aussie/NZ and in Japan (uber rare), it's the Lancer GSR w/ a true 4g93T (version 1: DSM and 2: right way).

In Malaysia, the Proton (4g93P) is facing the wrong way like 1 & 2g DSM.

Before going on the DOHC bandwagon...Refer to this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=108520&page=2

Now I don't understand why people want to swap one econobox engine to another "DOHC" econobox engine... 4G9X series engines are for gas mileage....

I nitrous'd my lawn mower... And to my surprise... The grass was still cut in the same amount of time...

People who think about this stuff usually haven't figured out all the R&D work.

Between the G93 SOHC vs Virage G93 DOHC: Fed spec USDM 113 HP/116 TQ while the Virage is about 135-142 HP/120's TQ (3 cat converters).

The base model FTO w/ a G93 SOHC has about 125 HP/about 120 TQ - few difference w/ some assumption: it has a distributor + different cam profile + ecu tuning . . . no way a distributor can just add +10 HP over USDM model.

ok so this what you do (get ready to spend money) first you need to get a 2.4L 4g64 from like a 3rd gen eclipse and do the 4g63 head swap (they have the same block).

^^^^^^^^^
You have to get a head off an Evo 4 and above. How many wreckers are just willing to part off the head?

just buy a better cam from rrm or rpw..... upgrade your internals... boost 12psi+... you will get about the same results... problem solved.... if you want 300HP + 300 WTQ search Threads from omarboy25

IMO a modified lancer is better suited for autoX then drag.
