Honestly the sound of modified exhaust is pretty loud if you have a few mod's and even if you don't. I'll try and get a clip for you later today and post it this weekend. I have a header & downpipe, CAI, MagnaFlow hi-flow cat, and MagnaFlow exhaust.... It's pretty loud in the car, at least thats what my x-girlfriend use to say. I'm pretty use to it, and I have a stereo system so it really doesn't get to me, my speakers and sub kind of down play the noise..lol. None the less I'll try and get you a decent clip before I sell my Lancer. At 80mph it's a solid hum. If your coasting at 30-45mph, not to bad at all. I'll try to do two clips: one that's 0-40mph, and another on the freeway accelerating from 50-80mph.

Yeah it's loud, if someone who has never been in my car hears it they say that it's loud as hell. My old manager wanted me to buy him his own earmuffs for when he is in my car. My girlfriend now complains about it sometiems, but i think it has slowly destroyed her hearing so now she doens't say anything :-D

Yeah, the magnaflow has a nice hum to it. Inside. It's a good sound though.

I do find it funny, I can set off car alarms in the parking garage if I goose the throttle a slight bit or hit the right RPM.

lol, well the thing that I think about is "Man that would suck if I was the owner of that car I would be pissed that some dude set off my alarm!" So it makes me drive faster......and set off more alarms, lol

I have a Magnaflow cat-back and its got a really deep huming noise which is not that loud compare to others(unless u have a bunch of other mods)but when ur at WOT or above 4k it can get pretty loud but not rasspy like a honda more in the line of a ecotec engine or something like a bmw deep roar.

I dont want to know what a turbo engine with the door open sounds like.

I wanted to know how an aftermarket exhaust would sound inside the car. Preferably with the door closed and preferbly non turbo

well my exhaust sounds the same just until i hit boost

that was with the manifold dumped. my exhaust sounds like a normal exhaust system would sound like with no headers. just until i boost and you hear the wastegate and bov etc...if you wanna hear me just driving with out hitting boost it would sound the same.

i dont really wana have to pay more to modify an exhuast. I am planning on just bolting it on my self. I just want to hear how it sounds first to make sure it wont give me a headache driving around.
